Easter Kenya A group from the Boys & Girls Brigades visited Kenya.  See the report here.
  Library Display We booked the Library display window and took the opportunity to share with the town some of our work and activities,
Jan-Jul The Source Anyone visiting or living in Seaford and passing through Southgate will have seen our new development taking shape.  For full information about The Source visit our specific source page here. (photos)
2006    
23 July Walk, Tea and Outdoor Service Our annual walk to Ancaster started with a down pour but things quickly brightened up.  The tea and our outdoor service were basking in sunshine. (pictures)
2 July Junior Church and Brigades Enrolment The Junior Church Prize giving took place at the same time as the Girls and Boys Brigades enrolment service. A change from previous years, but in keeping with our desire to affirm that all parts of the church are one.
1 July Picnic Carole and Grenville once again opened their garden to host a picnic.  A really hot an sunny day when around  a dozen people enjoyed fun, sun and fellowship. The day coincided with England's football match against Portugal and as a consequence there were fewer men in the garden than would otherwise have been the case. (photo)
Note   Apologies for not keeping the website up to date - the current webmaster has changed jobs and is finding time short to keep this site as current as it should be. Events are regularly happening at Sleaford URC and they are for not just members but anyone who might  like to come along and share with us and/or learn more about Jesus - drop us a line to find out more

December Carol Service We were delighted to host a carol service for members and those associated with the church.  
August Fellowship Picnic The fellowship group organised a bring and share tea on the banks of the lake at Woodland Waters (photo)
July Walk Our annual walk to Ancaster was was a bit damp this year. Well done to the walkers and those who braved the outdoor service (thankfully under a tent to shelter us from the rains)
July Picnic Carole and Grenville opened their garden to host a picnic.  Bright dry weather this year and about a dozen people enjoyed fun, sun and fellowship.
June Flower Festival The Flower Festival organised by The Guild and sponsored by local businesses attracted a lot of interest.  You can see a few pictures here
Jan Bobby Dazzlers Bobby Dazzlers, our pre-school children, parent/carer group celebrates another successful year with the publication of the 2004 report. (here
2004    
24 July Picnic Carole and Grenville once again hosted our church picnic in their garden. French bouls was the popular game of the day and a good time of fellowship was enjoyed. (picture)
18 July Walk No pictures this year, but a good number of us walked to Ancaster and enjoyed tea in the open air.  This was followed by an open air service (our last evening service till September)
10 July Ordination of Dave Coaker Although Dave moved from Sleaford several years ago, for St Ives and then into ministerial training friends and family members travelled to Warrington to celebrate his ordination and induction.
11-13 June Arts & Craft Weekend A new venture this weekend saw the church open with displays of locally made arts and crafts.  Teas and lunches were available during Friday and Saturday and concerts where presented by Showboat, Vintage Brass and the Bretherton Handbell Ringers.
6 May Women's Bible Study A new Women's Bible Study evening begins.
18 Apr Easter Meal We enjoyed a generous three course meal as a church after our AGM.
10 Apr Easter Bonnets Congratulations to Nettie Priestley (adult winner) and Mollie (youngster) for making the 'best bonnets' for our Easter Coffee morning. The bonnets were displayed in church on Easter Day.
14 Feb Wedding The wedding of Rowena and Ian was held on Valentines Day.  Revd Steve Faber officiated and the reception followed the service in the church hall.
4 Feb New website Our website has moved to http://www.sleafordurc.org.uk from the previous Freeserve hosted site.  The move gives us a 'better' address, extra email flexibility and easier maintenance. 
1 Feb New Year Dinner Our later Christmas/New Year Dinner was held February 1st.  Well supported and great food and fellowship.
