You may be new to the district or have lived here for many years. Either way we hope you will find the information about our church fellowship and activities, in this leaflet, useful and of interest.
'Hello Neighbour'
Times have changed and so has the Church, but Christians
still have a message to share which is as relevant today as it ever was.
Old or young, single or married, comfortable or finding the
going
hard - you can be certain of a welcome from the Christians at
Sleaford URC.
But the church has much more than friendship to offer, we can
introduce you to Jesus Christ.
Beside our Sunday services, many other activities go
on:
- Sport - get fit and have fun with badminton on Mondays, and
Short Mat Bowls on a Tuesday.
- Fellowship Group – An evening for sharing life's experiences and for
discovering what the Bible means for us today (fortnightly)
- Guild - a friendly lunchtime meeting with occasional speakers
(2nd/4th Thursday)
- Boys’ and Girls’ Brigades meet on Wednesday and Thursday evenings
- ‘Bobby Dazzlers’ – a group for
the unders-5s and their carers.
- 'Baby Dazzlers' - a group
for new and expectant parents.
The Source Cafe is open from 10am till 2pm on Mondays and Thursdays and
10am till 12pm on Saturdays.
Why not call in? You will always be welcome at any of these
activities.

Many groups such as the Women’s Institute, Weight Watchers
and others use our hall/ kitchen/meeting room's each week.

What is the URC?
The United Reformed Church formed in 1972 with the joining of
two major denominations, the Congregational Church in England and
Wales, and the Presbyterian Church in England.
In 1981 we further united with the Churches of Christ, and in
2000 with the Congregational Union of Scotland.
The URC is made up of about 1,750 local churches throughout
the United Kingdom and has about 1,100 ministers, 150,000 adults and
100,000 children.
We share Christian beliefs with all other major churches and
are actively involved in the Churches Together movement, both locally
and nationally. We join in the worldwide church particularly through
the Council for World Mission (formerly the
LMS).
Sunday Worship
Our morning worship is at 10.45am to approx. 12.15pm.
Children are included in the first part of the service and then may
join Junior Church. Our evening service is at 6.00pm most Sundays,
please contact the secretary to check.
The evening service is more informal.
Following morning worship you are welcome to join us for
coffee.
Holy Communion is celebrated on the second Sunday of each
month in the morning service and the fourth Sunday of each month in the
evening service. Everyone who loves the Lord Jesus Christ is welcome to
join with us at His table.
