Communion

Communion, sometimes referred to as 'Holy Communion', 'The Eucharist', 'The Lord's Supper', 'Taking/sharing the Bread and Wine' is shared twice a month at Sleaford URC.

When Jesus met at his last supper before being killed on the cross, he taught his disciples to share bread and wine together memory of him. This act reminds us of his sacrifice - giving his life that we may return to a proper relationship with God (Bread broken, signifying his body broken on the cross, and wine as a symbol of his blood shed).  See Luke chapter 22 verses 7 to 28.

Most Christian denominations celebrate communion.

We invite all who love and seek to follow our Lord Jesus to join us at communion on the second Sunday morning or fourth Sunday evening each month.
