Our events diary on the internet records that we recently had a very important weekend: " We welcomed a minister who was exploring a call to serve at Sleaford. We had a beetle drive and supper on the Saturday night and on Sunday the minister led morning worship and an evening Brigades Parade service. Monday night saw a church meeting agree to issue the call to the minister, who has accepted."
And so we did. An enjoyable and exciting weekend, with the prospect of new beginnings. A well attended church meeting on the Monday evening, chaired by our interim moderator Rev Chris Ray concluded with agreement to issue a call to Rev Steve Faber to minister at Sleaford. Steve accepted that call and so, in the summer we welcome him as our minister.
As we give thanks to God, we pray that Steve and his family's move goes smoothly and that they quickly settle in. We look forward to Steve's contribution and leadership in our church's mission and service in Sleaford and the surrounding area.
