


Well.. not the one in Kenya, but multiple ascents of scaffolding
outside our church. The 17,000 feet was completed by a relay of young people split into
2 teams. Climbing for 15 minutes and then resting for 15 minutes,
occasionally
an adult would make their token climb too. But it was the young people who did
most of the work on the day and went out and got sponsors for the event! The weather forecast was for torrential
rain - thankfully it didn't
happen. The ascent began around 9.30 am and took approximately 5
hours. The Sleaford Standard covered the event and gave us front
